Streets filled with dust,
Lights broken on the path.
Glasses shattered,
Souls Battered.
Looking for something,
He wandered about.
The eyes were prying,
Every nook and corner.
The sun was scorching,
Vaporising the spirits.
Fluttering eyes, Stammering lips,
Shivering hands, Battling legs.
The thoughts of the divine,
Plots of the wild.
Need of the hour,
Thinking of feeding the stomach.
Looking at the hungry eyes,
Hiding the last bit of corn.
Living in destitution,
Feeling the palpitation.
Fear of life, Fear of death,
Fear of Rape, Fears Crept.
The silence of night,
Bringing fears alive.
Every movement with hustled feet.
Evil thoughts simmering underneath.
Moments of desperation,
Calling for action.
No sight for help,
No help in sight.
Heaps and heaps of bodies lied,
Giving way to a eerie sign.
Dogs & wolfs feeding on the living,
The living feeding on the dead.
Every hope abandoned,
Every fort lost.
The human spirit had broken.
In a long time now, he had forgotten.
What it meant to live like a human?
What it meant like living in dignity,
Helping others and being in grace.
The evil had called for,
HE had broken the shackles.
Now the spirit is nothing but a slave of the evil.
A thought of the devil and at the mercy of evil.
No rape, no stealing, no ugly act is bad enough.
Because the soul is lost, he could go to any extent.
The only thing he wished for was fulfillment of his urges.
The dead wife, the dead son, death had filled all his pains with indifference.
He only lived for his own self.
Satisfaction of the having.
Gratification of the craving.
He had broken the bounds of humanity,
To live in disgust and indescribable cruelty.
A life gone, a human lost.
